Our mission is to provide measurable and tangible actions that our readers can take that will have direct impact on the ocean while providing opportunities to learn community building and advocacy skills.

THE VISION
To protect our oceans so that they may heal and repair from the current pattern of usage while supporting the advocacy and community building skills of the next generation of ocean stewards.
If we have our way, the members of The Whale Dreamer Society will influence the supply chain of plastics and get more youth exploring, loving, and protecting the ocean.
HOW?
The Whale Dreamer Ocean Engagement Pathway offers readers five different actions that they can choose from, that as a community, we will collectively take on. Each action will offer opportunities to build community and offer online training with activist mentors, whose impact will be measured in our unique impact measurement tool.

THE GET PLASTIC OUT OF OUR FOOD ACTION KIT
Please note: We're in the early stages of development with this action strategy and it is destined to evolve.
The Get Plastics out of our Food ACTION KIT is designed to provide restaurant owners with information about the harm that is being caused by plastics in our waste stream while also providing hands on SOLUTIONS such as paper straws and compostable products.
NEXT GENERATION ACTIVIST TRAINING
Our readers are inspired and have everything to learn. We support them through weekly conference calls with experienced activist mentors who can tell stories and answer questions about how to engage their local community in taking meaningful action in their communities.
AWARDS SYSTEM

With the support of our sponsors, we will offer a series of awards that include a lottery for participants to win a trip on local whale watching adventures, gear and toys that they can play with in the ocean. Our most influential activists will win a trip to swim with the whales.
OUR UNIQUE MEASUREMENT TOOL
We know that it can feel isolating when you are taking a stand for something you care about, so we are committed to demonstrating the power of the collective and building community with every step we take. We are designing a unique tool that will allow participants to measure all of the different ways that they are taking action and the impact they are making in their local communities.
